Yiling (Elaine) Yao joined Nephrological Associates in 2017. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Bachelor in Laws at Fudan University in 1998, and finished her RN training at the Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 2004. Her desire to learn and passion for her patients made her go back to school, where she then earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Rutgers University.
Elaine has 10 years of experience as an RN prior to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, and has worked in a variety of healthcare settings such as sub-acute/rehab, inpatient and outpatient dialysis units. She is also a member of American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA) and American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is bilingual in English and Chinese. In her free time, she enjoys cooking with her daughters and caring for her dog.
