Dr. Zenenberg joined Nephrological Associates in 2001. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut where he received a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He then went on to attend The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school, where he was the recipient of the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Foundation Scholarship Award for Academic Achievement and was inducted into the Sigma Alpha Omicron Medical Honor Society. Dr. Zenenberg went on to complete his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Connecticut. At graduation from his residency program, he was the recipient of the Maxwell O. Phelps, M.D. award for scholarship. He then went on to complete his Nephrology Fellowship at New York University, after which he joined Nephrological Associates. 
 

Dr. Zenenberg is the Division Chief of Nephrology at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ and is also Medical Director of the hospital’s inpatient hemodialysis unit. Dr. Zenenberg is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. He has been very involved with the teaching of medical students, internal medicine residents and nephrology fellows over the years and has received multiple teaching awards including the "Golden Apple" award from the Department of Medicine at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Dr. Zenenberg also serves as Medical Director of the outpatient Fresenius Medical Care West Essex Dialysis Unit. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN) and a Fellow of the International Society of Nephrology (FISN). He has been a regular New Jersey Monthly’s “Top Doctor”.
